BE YOURSELF (personal Development Series)

     To somebody ,your gentility and calmness makes you such a perfect cool dude ,whereas to someone else, you're too cool and boring for her likeness.
  To someone, your mode of dressing is skimpy and indecent, but to another man, you're trendy & sexy.
  While your generosity earn you accolades and philanthropist, with someone, to another person, you're wasteful and extravagant.
  Somebody sees you as the most beautiful being he has ever seen and can't just let go, to another man, you're too perfect for his likeness.
 To someone, your riches and affluence are because you're industrious and enterprising. But ro someone else, you're nothing but fraudulent and corrupt.
  Somebody sees you as stingy and miser, to another person, you're conservative and economical. Someone sees you as a power dresser and cute, whereas to someone else you're proud and merely showing off.
  To someone, you're too fat or skinny ,but to someone else, you're of good size. While listening to traditional songs and genres makes you local and unsocialized, to somebody else you're mature and cultural.
  While listening to hip hop and modern day songs, makes you socialize and current to someone, to another person, you're nuisance and immature.. 🤔
   All these remind me of a story as told by a music legend, EBENEZER OBEY. The story is about a man, his son and a donkey.
  The man set out on a trip one day with his son. As an old man, he was riding on the donkey, while his son trekked beside him. On meeting certain set of people, on their way, they accused the man of wickedness ,saying while will he be riding on the donkey and his son trekking? So the man decided to come down and let the boy ride on the donkey ,while he trekked.
   After covering some meters, they met another set of people, who mocked the man of been foolish, saying as an old man, while will he be trekking and his son riding on the donkey?
  In response to their opinion, the man decided to join the boy on the donkey and then continued with their trip. Not too far from that scene, they came across another set of people who accused them of unfairness to the donkey. Saying why should they both be riding on the little donkey? Can you beat such opinion.
  The man reasoned along with them, so he came down on the donkey ,likewise the son ,so as to satisfy their opinion and not to be adjudged wicked, then proceeded with their journey both trekking and left the donkey following them emptily.
  Just little distance from that scene, another set of people challenge them of stupidity, why they'll both be trekking and the donkey following them emptily. Hmm.

  Now let's bring it home, you see my friend ,diverse people will always have diverse opinion about diverse situations. With that picture in mind, you can see the futility of trying to satisfy each and everyone that comes your way of life? Which is the express way to frustration. 

  Dear friend, as human person, we actually sees things the way we are and not necessarily the way things really were, just as the popular saying that "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder " and that, one man's meat is another man's poison .
  In other words, one person says, a cup is half full and another says it's half empty, aren't they both correct? They only sees the way they are ,one is seeing from full perception and the other from empty perception but they both saw the same thing, with different mindsets.

 So friend, why did you want to spend the rest of your life adjusting to people's opinion about you? Why should your joy and happiness depends on the feelings and opinion of another person? Why should you be enslaved to another man's thought, feelings, comments and opinions?
 Come on friend! Be yourself, only access yourself of what's true, pure, excellent and of good report ,something acceptable to God and Good for humanity.

 Ladies & Gentlemen, I believe you must have been stirred up, spurred and inspired to be what you are and not to waste your own person , in the attempt of being someone else. Just be yourself ,let the people see the real, imperfect, flawed quirky, beautiful and magical person that you're rather than being pretentious.
 So be yourself and enjoy this gift called Life.
