   Every 3rd of MAY, has been earmarked by UNESCO as WORLD PRESS FREEDOM DAY across the globe. With this year's being 25th celebration was jointly organized by UNESCO and the government of the republic of Ghana 🇬🇭, playing the host for this year's conference, which will cover issues of media & the transparency of the political process and media literacy of the judicial system.  This year celebration of the world journalists was themed: KEEPING POWER IN CHECK ; media, justice & the rule of law. INTERNATIONAL WORKERS DAY

 International worker's day, also known as the labor day, it's a day set aside for remembering labors who had died or have got injured in one way or the other at work. And of recent it has become a day of large protest by labor organizations against any government policies not in term with the labor unions.  International worker's day started as far back as the 18th century in the united states of America by labor union movement demanding for labors better working conditions & more rights for workers, more especially eight working hours per day, instead of ten hours in vogue as at then. MAY 1,was chosen as international worker's day in celebration remembrance of 1886 Haymarket affair in Chicago, where some labor union members were shot dead during strike protest in support of 8hours working per day by police and hundreds of labor leaders were arrested, and four of them was found guilty after trial and were executed by hanging. Three years after, socialist in
